TOPIC: Riverview Gardens – Planting the Seeds of Change

Riverview Gardens is unique among organizations serving people with barriers to stable employment. Founded in December 2011, Riverview Gardens is a job-training program which grew out of the collaborative transformation of a golf course and country club to address the root causes of homelessness and poverty. Today, six interactive social enterprises provide unlimited job-training opportunities for people in need and sources of revenue to support the mission. The program helps people obtain stable, permanent employment, allowing them to become self-sufficient community members. About the Speaker:

Angie Bleck joined Riverview Gardens in early 2019 as Director of Development Strategies. Prior to entering the nonprofit arena, Angie was a director of integrated marketing planning for Kimberly-Clark Corporation’s Baby and Child Care businesses.

She received a B.S. in Journalism/Advertising from Northern Illinois University.
